Possession of a valid New Brunswick Driver’s License endorsed for School Bus Operation and Air Brakes. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or GED. Other related responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Duties include the operation of the assigned school bus according to Province of New Brunswick applicable legislation and regulations conducting cleanup, checking and inspection of the assigned school bus as required adhering to schedule of run as established by the District maintenance of discipline and orderly conduct on the school bus according to District policy and generally ensuring the provision of school bus driving services and of any other services which the District may from time to time assign, all in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement. Work involves driving a school bus for Anglophone South School District on an assigned route. School Bus Drivers are required through their employment to perform various tasks. Be able to lift, store, and disassemble/assemble wheelchairs of a maximum weight of 40 pounds and/or other ambulatory devices required by the passenger. Secure all equipment that is required for each passenger as prescribed in company policy.ġ3. Operate all vehicle lifts as prescribed in company policy.ġ2. Conduct yourself as a professional Dean Transportation staff member at all times.ġ1. Keep accurate records and reports as required, submit in a legible condition, turn in at the specified time.ġ0. Shall be able to conduct a bus evacuation drill as required by Transportation Management.ĩ. Be alert and exercise good judgment concerning emergencies and day-to-day operations.Ĩ. Administer disciplinary procedures in keeping with company policies.ħ. Deal with exuberant behavior characteristics of youthful riders.Ħ. Demonstrate knowledge of state laws and local ordinances.ĥ. Demonstrate knowledge of rules and regulations promulgated by local, state, and federal agencies.Ĥ. Identify with geographic service area of school district and routes you travel.ģ. Operate all vehicle types in transporting passengers used by DeanĢ. Bus drivers shall achieve self improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation Inc.
